Monday, August 23, 2010 - 10:50 AM55 Division416-808-5500The Toronto Police Service is requesting the public's assistance identifying two suspects wanted in a shooting investigation.
On Sunday, August 22, 2010, at 1:30 a.m., police responded to a call for the sound of gun shots in the Donlands Avenue/Danforth Avenue area.
It is alleged that:
- a group of males were outside a Danforth Avenue convenience store when two men approached,
- one of the men fired several shots at the group, striking one of the men in the upper thigh,
- another bullet struck the store window,
- the suspects fled the scene in an unknown direction.
The victim was taken to hospital and treated for his injuries.
It is further alleged that:
- the group of men had an altercation with the two suspects earlier in the evening, where one of the men was robbed by the suspects.
The suspects are described as:
1) black, 18-20, thin build, 5'11" - 6' with braided hair, in cornrows. He was wearing a black hoodie with white stripes on the shoulders and back of the hood and black jeans. He was armed with a handgun.
2) black, 18-20, medium build, 5'11" - 6' and black hair worn in short braids. He was wearing an olive green jacket, black baseball hat with grey writing and carrying a black backpack.
