Well if you have yet to try Ruby Watchco, then you must try Lynn Crawford's newest addition to our neighborhood, Ruby Eats.
This great little "foodie" place will likely become a great hit in the hood....Full of great products and great ideas this is only going to get better. A recent walk by, I landed on an opportunity to watch Lynn herself show us how to pull together a great Succotash salad. The 20 of us or so who were in the store, got to participate, watch, learn and taste....and then subsequently "buy" some of her great products. Nice thing is much is made under her own name of Ruby Eats, and or product is local (within 100 miles), so all fresh and interesting.
Is this not better than Loblaws? So our collection of great, interesting, local food places is growing rapidly. With Rowe Farms, Leslieville Cheese, Brick Bakery, Meat on Queen etc., we are starting to see the "flavour " of change in this hood.....
Keep up the good work Lynn, nice addition, and for everyone else, get out there and give this place a try--you won't be disappointed.

Comment by Christine G on August 3, 2011 at 6:51pm We went in to Ruby Eats today and loved it. Came home with a couple of bags of fabulous food and enjoyed a sandwich while we were there. The displays were inviting and the environment was welcoming. Everyone there was friendly and so very helpful.
We only go to Loblaws for toilet paper these days.
