Peter Gray sees endless possibilities in a piece of reclaimed wood, barn board, a discarded dresser left by the side of the road or an antique shoe stand. Following heart surgery in 2012, Peter used an inherited saw and drill to build a cedar bench. Since then, he has designed and constructed well over a hundred tables, benches, stools, cabinets and kitchen islands that are inspired by the simple lines and finishes of antique and vintage furniture from Canada, Scandinavia, France, Italy and Spain. What began with one bench has grown into Urban Forest Design.
Bubbles and Boat Shoes is a shop & blog specializing in “nautically inspired living”. The store was founded over a discussion about being over dressed or underdressed…with a solution evolving that if you DTB (dress to boat), you’ll nail it on the head every time! Bubbles and Boat Shoes sells jewelry, fashions, home decor, and stationary that is geared towards a cottage/cabin feel, with a hit of cheekiness shared by the co-founders. Everything they sell is hand-made and designed by them (usually over a glass of wine). Check out our shop for our latest styles or our blog for DIY projects at www.bubblesandboatshoes.com or follow us on Facebook (Bubbles and Boat Shoes), Twitter (@emmacverity), or find us on Etsy….and be sure to pop by The Leslieville Flea September 20th and say hi!
