The Annual Stomp!

Kudo's to all who on very short notice arranged this event.

Noticed lots of extra traffic through the neighborhood and Queen St was bustling.

Once it becomes an annual event think of the possibilities. We can add concerts, street closures, restaurant tastings,
perhaps a beer tent. The possibilities are endless.

The best part is we're bringing people into the area that may not have ever come out this far because it was a "bad place"

Once more people see how great the area is and the community spirit it helps our real estate prices go up, or at least remain constant, and our local merchants see the long term benefits as well. While people may not have bought on May 30th they now know what's out here and may well come back to purchase.

It may also be just what potential merchant needed to see to open a new shop here.

It's all good!

I totally agree with you that there are lots of possibilities for this newest of the Toronto neighbourhood festivals, and I love that both the residents and local merchants were keen to get involved and make the first one successful.

For anyone who is interested in getting involved with planning and organizing the next event, we would love for you to join the discussion over in the Organizers Group here on the site. I expect we'll start the back-and-forth soon, and start talking about next steps.
