On Friday, August 20, 2010, at 10:16 p.m., police responded to the report of a pedestrian struck collision on Lakeshore Boulevard East, east of Northern Dancer Boulevard.

It is reported that:

- a 17-year-old boy was attempting to cross Lakeshore Boulevard East at a marked pedestrian crossover,

- he was struck by an eastbound Toronto Transit Commission bus which had been travelling in the passing lane.

The boy was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
