Ok, that is the wrong number. I just found the correct one and left a message: 416-469-8069. Basically, I just said that if they want to evangelize they should put out flyers inviting people to attend their church. That way, people can choose for themselves to hear it rather than being subjected to it against their will.

I was just about to post about this. Here's the Torontoist article on the subject:

I haven't had any luck finding the phone number of the church; I would like to call them and complain. Even if they weren't specifically targeting gays they should be keeping their religious fervor to themselves.

Again, just because they're baptists doesn't mean they're hateful. Frankly, seeing people gathering together all dressed up is kinda nice. Even if I think that Christianity is a crock, the last thing I'd do is tell people to leave using the vitriol that the people in the video used. Frankly I don't appreciate the jerks behind me using their power tools on the weekend, but that too is part of living in a city full of amateur carpenters.

I am still curious to know what the couple feel about this. Like...have they expressed appreciation to thier neighbors for their support?

Great idea, Tara. Count me in. Maybe we need to mark the day in our calendars and make sure we have something organized.
